Here is a little clip I put together of what waiting for the Heroes and LOST panels was like. Early in the morning waiting in a looong and a HUGE hall just to see our favorite stars and writers.

While in line we made great friends and finally met most of our online friends for the first time and it was a great experience. I really hope to meet more of you one of these days.

Of course, waiting in line we had several of the Team ODI members, Ryan and Jen from The Transmission podcast, Jay and Jack, Ralph from the Dharmalars, Jo from JOpinionated, Andrew aka Tapdawg, plus many more...!!

Check out the clip and I hope this gives you some what of a an idea about waiting in line at Comic Con and how ummmm fun it can be... :)

EW Visionaries Panel - With Lindelof and Cuse

Not sure how many of you read the Live Blog I posted during this panel, but I am slowly uploading the FULL panel. This is NOT the LOST panel and includes writers from other shows including Pushing Daisies, Chuck, and Sarah Conner Chronicles. However, most of the questions were focused on LOST and it felt like a LOST Panel, which ended up being a running joke.

This was another fun panel and as always quite funny!! Damon even drops a F-Bomb!

So far I have uploaded the first two parts and part 3 is being uploaded as I type this out. The file sizes are causing YT to take some extra time to upload and process.

However, as you can see we were in the first row and this is the raw footage unedited, so sorry for some of the shakiness because we were taking pics and posting live while trying to record the panel for you all.

Quick Thanks to Everyone we Met at Comic Con!!

Hey All,
I wanted to post a quick thanks to EVERYONE that I met at Comic Con, it was truly an honor to meet everyone and chat it up!! I wish I could thank each person individually, but there are too many. Thanks to those that waited in line, saved seats, took pics and just had fun!!

If you have ANY pictures or videos that you would like added to the site please link or send them in!!

I am going to make several posts and will try to document the whole event not just the panel, but being at the show, waiting in line, in Hall H and what ever else!!

Lost show runners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are here to take your fan questions here and, apparently, give out relevant prizes, and it'll all be liveblogged here!

Q's and A's are paraphrased. This will be updated frequently, so check back often. Vids of key moments coming soon.

Q: When the hatch imploded and the sky turned purple? Did the Island move then?
A: No. But something happened. Prize: Oceanic water bottle.

Q: What is the fate of Jin and Locke?
A: Jin will still be on the show in some form. You've not seen the last of either of those characters. Prize: Jin panda bear.

Q: Best episode and best season, in your opinion?
Carlton: "The Constant" is my favorite episode, and season one.
Damon: "Exodus" and the raft launch before the show disintegrated into utter despair. I also like season four. Prize: Apollo bar and Apollo bar T-shirt.

Q: What's up with the reflection in the season four promos where the city was in the reflection in the water?
A: That was all about the Oceanic Six getting off the Island. Prize: Heroes DVD

Q: Will there be a Rousseau flashback?
A: We will see Rousseau's story, to use the word flashback might be disingenious. Damon: We're steering away from the flashes. Prize: I Am Lost luggage tags.

Q: What's up with the actors strike?
A: We're supposed to start in three weeks at least until further notice changes that plan. Prize: Photo of Nikki & Paolo.

Q: Any special guests this year?
A: No actors. Sorry. Prize: Actor-signed DVD box set.

Q: What happened to Vincent?
A: What about what happened the Island and Sawyer and Juliet? Vincent's OK and will appear in season five. Safe to say: Vincent's gonna make it to the end. Prize: Little polar bear.

Q: Are Jack and Kate your show's one true pariring?
A: Carlton: Personally I like those two, professionally I'm going to take the Fifth. Prize: Jack action figure.

MF: Yep. They're always there and very professional.

Q: Is there a limit to how far the flashes can go back and forth in time?
A: We're going to tell stories in a new and exciting way. This year, when season five starts, you're not going to know when and where you are. CC: There will be storytelling both on and off the Island and in different periods of time. Guy who makes wooshing sound will remain employed. Prize: Hanso Foundation hat.

Q: Just between me and you, how does this show end?
A: It ends well, we hope.
Q: Can I have some Jin?
DL: The alcohol or the character?

Q: How old is Richard Alpert and does he have six toes?

As you all know, cameras are not allowed in the Octagon Global Recruiting booth while they are conducting their test. But that didn't stop us from getting images from the screen that the testers, and only the testers, see.

According to those who have taken the test, they were given eight choices.

Dharma Recruiting Booth

The booth is rather small and is located in the center of the convention hall, on a very, very busy corner. After some effort, I got close enough to ask what the procedure is. They make appointments at 9:30am and 1pm only each day. The fact that it was then 12:45pm explained the crush of people around the booth. I have to say that is was disorganized chaos, and I am suprised that the powers that be didn't put better crowd control measures in place. After much frustation, I was not able to make an appointment, but will be there right at 9:30am tomorrow to give it another try. I did snap a pic of the booth and of the flyer they handed me.

A possible title for the new ARG

Thanks to burncycle16 who sent images to Lostpedia, there may be an answer to the question of what this new ARG is titled. On a legal document, given as part of the eligibility test, there is the info, "I am aware that ABC is preparing and producing an interactive, fictional entertainment work, which is currently titled Dharma Initiative Recruiting Project ("The Project")."

Octagon Global Recruiting - Test Details

At the Octagon Global Recruiting booth, fans are given a waiver form and an appointment time. At their appropriate time, they can enter the booth, which has cameras on the ceiling (these appear to feed outside the booth so observers can see what is going on). With a set of headphones and television equipment, participants are shown images and have to say what first pops into their heads. Some of the images are reportedly very bizarre. Questions are then asked such as "You just took away a child's favorite toy. Why?"

The test apparently lasts about five minutes, and upon completion you are told whether you passed or not (its likely everyone will "pass" as part of the ARG). Participants are then told to make sure they see the Lost panel on Saturday, and have their test sheet with them (they apparently make a point of having your own sheet with you).

Wrap-up...

What a great time! Other than the waiting part, that was an hour of bliss, especially the last 2 minutes. I want to quickly give you a condensed recap of what happened - thanks to all the bloggers who did a fantastic job recording the events ! There may be a few mistakes, but generally I think this is a picture of what happened.

DVD Season 3 Preview
Before the producers even came out, they showed a clip of what appears to be a section on the "Special Features" disc of the DVD coming out in December. It was called "The Life of the Others". Or something like that. The basically had interviews with Tom, Ben, and showed the filming of the action scene where the dynamite in the tent blow some of the Others away (from the S3 finale). HIGHLIGHT: Tom at one point looks to the camera and says "By the time you see this, I will be dead.". Everyone loved that. Otherwise it was good, nothing earth-shattering.

Intro
Damon an Carlton came out to a thunderous applause. It quickly turned into a "WTF" scenario though, when they sat down to find that neither of their mics worked. They actually stood up and were prepared to do the whole thing from the podium where the moderator was standing. The moderator said "I think we have a video game clip we could show...?" They agreed and sat down, hoping that would buy them enough time to fix the technical difficulty.

Video Game Preview
The clip was only about a minute long, but I can say that the graphics seemed pretty great. Now, I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means, so others may disagree, but my expectations of this game were pretty low, and the clip showed me some serious potential. They showed Jack running through the forest, Locke at the computer, and I remember seeing a red wire leading to a shack?? The game is to be released in February (right on time for the Season 4 premier, I'm guessing).

After the clip, Damon figured out that 2 other mics seemed to work, so they got situated. Damon was a crackup as usual, and told an interesting story. Ubisoft, the creators of the game, is a French-Canadian company. At the time Damon and Carlton saw the first demo of the game, the voiceovers hadn't been recorded. Instead, they had Ubisoft workers as the voices of the characters. Damon mimicked "Hyou need to see Zawyer, hee hahs zee mahp". Everyone laughed. Other than that, I don't remember much being said about the game. Damon also pointed out that he and Carlton both had little hotel-wait bells (?). He said that they tend to get excited and blurt out more info than they should, so as a precaution, the other producer would ding the bell if they were about to go too far. This comes into play later, although it was funny to watch them immediately place their hands over the bell during every single question. This led into the Fan Q&A session.

Fan Q&A
Thank goodness for the other live bloggers, they really did a good job posting the questions, because I wasn't quick enough to jot them down.

- The first question asked had to do with the seemingly elevated level of violence in this season, and concluded that this was because of the Others. Damon was quick to point out that there was a LOT of violence in the first 2 seasons, but it's probably dulled when the people doing the violent deeds are gorgeous. Says Damn, "Go on Sawyer, keep beating the hell out of me. And if you want to take your shirt off while you beat me, that'd be ok to." Everyones on the floor laughing.

- Someone asked about Michael, which was clearly a softball pitch because we all already knew he was coming back yesterday. D&C said they had planned to release the info at the ComiCon, but they all got mixed up on timing...blah blah blah, more on that later.

- Will there be flashforwards next season? There will be both flashbacks and flashforwards next season. Damon mentioned that they simply couldn't keep digging up history on the characters without making it a stretch. He used the example of "If Jin had an ex-wife, that would be lame because he's never mentioned it."

- Will Jack and Claire find out about their relation? Damon said in so many words that they want to get to that. Carlton dings the bell, at which point Damon stops talking and makes huge nodding movements. So I think we can expect that in S4.

- There was a question about DHARMA. Carlton mentions that we'll learn more about DHARMA "sooner than you can possibly imagine...as in 5:58pm". Woot!

- Did Benry purposefully get caught or was that a legitimate accident? It was an accident.

- A boisterous girl (that might have been a plant) insists that we know more about Michael and his whereabouts. As D&C try to formulate an answer, a bell rings offstage. People look around, and Harold Perrineau comes onto the stage. Crowd goes wild. He hugs the producers and says to the audience "Man I missed you guys!"

- A guy mentions how awesome Richard Alpert is and asks if he'll be back. D&C discuss that he's been hired onto a CBS show so they don't know what they can do but wait.

- A great question by a girl: what questions SHOULD we be asking that we haven't. Crowd simultaneously give a "oooooooooo" watching D&C squirm in their seats. "Who is in the coffin, who is on the "not-penny" boat, who are Adam and Eve, and if Nicki and Paulo are really dead."

- Will Libby return? They hope they have the opportunity to tell her story - and there is definitely a story to tell.

At that point, they say their goodbyes and thanks the ComiCon crowd profusely. Damon says that LOST was essentially "born from the Con", having aired there before even making it to the TV. They set the stage for the clip they are about to show. It was found in Norway and sent to them. Then they exit stage left and the film rolls.

Orientation Film - Station 6
The film starts with Dr. Marvin Candle introducing himself as "Edward Hourwicks" (or something close to that). He's speaking to the cameraman as if they haven't started rolling film, "I'm a scientist, not an actor". They give him a huge white rabbit with the number 15 on it's back. He then goes into his schpeel "Welcome to Station 6, the Orchid". He was wearing a labcoat, but I couldn't see the DHARMA symbol. He apologizes for having lied to them and their families, but the station is NOT botanical in nature. "As you know, there are unique properties about the Island..." then things start falling, the camera starts shaking, and they pan to another rabbit hanging out by itself on a shelf...? They cut, everything is normal and they're back to the "Welcome to Station 6" part again. In what is sure to be a "TiVo moment", there are what I think is 2 instances where there are flashes of words spliced into the film. One I think said "Jacob loves you". I don't know about the other one.

That's it! Damon and Carlton were hilarious and class-acts, as always.

So with 45 minutes to go, they doled out the standard "we're watching you" address:

No recordings of any kind ONCE THE LIGHTS GO OUT (I assume it's totally ok to record anything and everything until then though...)
If caught recording once, they ask you to stop. Two warnings, and you're gone.
The "fan-questions" mic is in the middle of the room. Before you can ask a question, they'll screen it to make sure it's ok. They have the power to turn off the microphone remotely, in case you go renegade on them.
Don't ask to have their kids/don't ask for hugs, pictures, autographs/don't ask them to take your resume.

All that being said, she mentioned we are going to see some pretty crazy surprises. That may just be hype, but I'm feeling like it might be good. If I had to make a prediction, I would say that we're going to see an extension of the Lost Experience. Maybe some footage of the Not-Penny boat?

Just to let everyone know of the surroundings:

The table and mics are obviously front and center. I noticed there are 6 mics...interesting. I know Cuse, Lindelof, and Bryan Burke are supposed to be here. Who else might show up??

The table is flanked on both sides with 20x20ft screens. Awesome. I'm wondering if they'll be showing the new video game on these.

The ballroom is the size of 4 football fields (or at least feels like it). I'm actually in the 15th row (?) with no one in front of me. Makes for a great view! But there are easily thousands of chairs.

We still have 1h10m left till kickoff. In the meantime, I'm catching up on what happened with JJ Abrams "Cloverfield" news...

The ComiCon in generally is sensory-overload. I've more vampires, Indiana Jones', pirates, etc. than one can fit into a lifetime. Pretty wild.

Wandering the streets of downtown San Diego this weekend is a little surreal, as it always is this time of year. Amidst the palm trees and perfect 76-degree weather, it's not uncommon to walk past a Klingon, see someone dressed as Chewbacca eating a panini at the cafe, or wait at a crosswalk with Wolverine.

Hi, I'm Leslies_a_Bitchin_Name (or "LBN" from now on) and I'll be one of DarkUFO's ComiCon correspondents today. I'm one of 10-or-so San Diegans that hope to bring you all the spoilery-goodness you expect (and require in these "radio-silent" days known as "Lost Haitus").

As you probably know, ComiCon has become an absolute media free-for-all in the past few years. What started off as a venue for comic book publishers has gathered the attention of "bigger fish", as major movie studios and network agencies rush to promote their big-budget hits to that all-important 18-49 demographic.

There were already developments yesterday (Michael and Walt), with a teaser that much more will happen today - but I must use this opportunity to warn you that this area will most likely have SPOLIERS. So if you're not into that, you don't want to be here.

With that, we hope to report to you often and with good info. The panel starts at 5pm PST, so it might be a while until the real "juice" is extracted. Hang tight, and wish us luck.
